CIFAL Flanders | UNITAR is a UN recognized training center in Brussels. Through guided tours, workshops, networks, debates and lectures, we stimulate cooperation and knowledge sharing on sustainability, human rights, migration and peace. We promote the SDGs, the 2030 Agenda and the Pact for the Future to governments, companies, academics and NGOs.
For more than 30 years, we have been putting Flanders in a sustainable way. We are building smarter mobility, in collaboration with the Flemish government, among others. Electrification, digitalization and new ecosystems are central. With 8000 colleagues, we are working on a liveable and accessible Flanders.
The Federal Institute for Sustainable Development (FISD) supports the Belgian government in developing and coordinating sustainability policy. Together with federal services and stakeholders, it is working on initiatives around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). FIDO manages the website www.sdgs.be as a knowledge and inspiration platform for sustainable initiatives in Belgium.
Our society is changing rapidly due to globalization, technology, climate and depletion of natural resources. The DG Environment of the FPS Public Health is committed to a sustainable, fair and low-carbon economy in line with Belgium 2050, the UN Agenda 2030 and concrete climate, biodiversity and environmental objectives, such as product policy, risk management and protection of the North Sea.
Energiehuis Oostende coordinates the climate-neutral plan ‘Liveable Ostend’ with projects such as heat networks and solar parks, and encourages citizens to save energy, for example through heat pumps. In addition, Energiehuis Oostende supports residents with services to save energy at home and reduce energy bills.
Enabel is the Belgian agency for international cooperation. Together with partners such as the Belgian government, the EU, other countries and the private sector, we develop ideas and realise projects on urgent global challenges such as climate change, inequality, demography, peace and security.
The High Council for the Self-Employed and SMEs is a Belgian federal advisory body. It brings together 190 recognised SME organisations and defends the interests of the self-employed and SMEs through policy advice and promoting cooperation around common challenges.
AWEX strengthens Wallonia’s economic relations, both locally and internationally. With a personal and sustainable offer, the agency supports companies at every stage of their export or foreign growth. Thanks to a global network of experts, AWEX helps companies strengthen their position in the international market and attracts foreign investors in the heart of Europe.
VLAIO is the Flemish government’s point of contact for entrepreneurs in Flanders. The agency stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship through subsidies, advice and targeted guidance. VLAIO supports clusters, allows companies to grow sustainably and also helps them to switch internationally. Together with partners, it is building a strong ecosystem for entrepreneurship in Flanders.
BECI represents thousands of Brussels companies and defends their interests. As a synergy of the Chamber of Commerce and the Union of Brussels Enterprises, the network offers legal and administrative services, events and lobbying. In this way, we strengthen entrepreneurship and prosperity in the capital.
