Mission

At The Shift, we bring together all the forces of change in the economy. We break down barriers and bring together colleagues from other sectors, leading companies, experts and policymakers around shared sustainability challenges. Because together you can see and do more.

Our goal is to support more companies and organisations in their shift to a way of working that is climate-neutral, inclusive, nature-positive and equitable. At the same time, we ensure that this resilient approach becomes visible in the public debate and tangible in policy.

Strategy

Our impact strategy starts from a clear Theory of Change. We measure both what we do, and its consequences in the companies and organisations that are part of our network.

The core? Our communities of practice. Here we bring together peers, experts and partners to work on solutions to urgent issues in an atmosphere of complete trust. We measure at the start, at the end and six months later whether participants have the skills they need to make their strategy a reality.

What grows out of them does not get shoved in a drawer and then forgotten. We collect impact stories and translate them into inspiration for other organisations, as well as input for policy. Our ambassadors, a group of frontrunners from the network, help promote those stories in the public debate.

Working in tandem with frontrunner companies, we weigh in on Belgian policy and present success stories to the media. So that sustainable entrepreneurship becomes an easier and more attractive option.
