Decarbonised Supply Chains

On average, supply chain emissions are more than 11 times higher than a company’s direct emissions. In other words, Scope 3 plays a key role in any decarbonisation process. In this community of practice, you will exchange ideas with fellow professionals to provide clear strategies to mobilise suppliers and reduce emissions on a large scale.

Why get involved?

Through peer-led discussions and case-based learning, participants set the agenda, develop solutions and refine their strategies in a supportive, high-impact setting.

    Shared expertise

Build on shared expertise and learn from experts and peers from other industries, discuss case studies and collaborate on solutions to complex Scope 3 challenges.

    Concrete strategy

In addition to data knowledge, it is important to be in touch with your suppliers. That’s why we invited them to sign a charter to gain insight into where they stand on their path to net zero.

Programme

Because of the high level of interest, the participant group was split into two. Below are the session dates for each group.

Session 1 Data collection & incentives for emissions reduction Effective reduction of Scope 3 emissions starts with reliable data. In this session, you'll discover best practices for mobilising suppliers, standardising data collection and using AI to spot reduction opportunities.
Session 2 Create support among management for implementation Getting support from management is critical to making decarbonisation a strategic priority. In this session, you will learn how to build a compelling business case that demonstrates that decarbonisation pays off in terms of risk management, cost reduction and competitiveness.
Session 3 Circularity as a lever for emissions reduction In addition to supplier engagement, circular business models offer the opportunity to reduce emissions at the source. Discover how to integrate circularity into your supply chain through "product-as-a-service" models, material recovery or waste reduction. Participants are encouraged to invite a key supplier to explore together how to scale this circular approach up the value chain.
Session 4 Topic to be determined by the group of participants
Session 5 Topic to be determined by the group of participants
