How standards help reduce your Scope 3 emissions

Standards and norms are recognised best practices. They provide a shared framework for producing goods, delivering services, and managing processes. In this session, you will explore how to apply them effectively across your value chain.

Journey to Net Zero

The climate challenge is growing and European regulations are changing rapidly. Organisations need to think ahead and act purposefully. In this community of practice, you will join forces with other pioneers. You will translate your climate ambitions into effective actions and, supported by a scientific framework, work on a well-founded and future-proof net zero strategy.

Decarbonised Supply Chains

On average, supply chain emissions are more than 11 times higher than a company’s direct emissions. In other words, Scope 3 plays a key role in any decarbonisation process. In this community of practice, you will exchange ideas with fellow professionals to provide clear strategies to mobilise suppliers and reduce emissions on a large scale.

Biodiversity strategy kick-off: standards and approach

Sustainability challenges require more than technical solutions or systemic interventions alone. They also touch on how we perceive, decide, collaborate and act as human beings. To lead with impact in today’s complex world, we need not only external tools, but also strong inner skills.

Biodiversity strategy ready!

In this final session of the community of practice on biodiversity, we will wrap up with a landscape simulation game. You will see how one group’s decisions affect others’ room to manoeuvre and what it takes to make collaboration work in practice. We will round up and celebrate with networking drinks.

What to expect?

    You’ll gain a clear, big-picture view of the landscape. The simulation game makes it immediately visible how biodiversity choices influence one another and where collaboration truly makes the difference, rather than everyone optimising only their own piece of the puzzle;

    You’ll go home with a practical collaboration recipe. You’ll discover which roles, agreements and steps help bring partners around the same table – and keep them there – including what a strong connector or facilitator does to build trust and momentum;

    You’ll strengthen and grow your network. This is the moment to bring insights together, turn contacts into concrete follow-up actions, and spark new collaborations during the networking drinks.

Who is this for?

This session is only open to participating organisations and partners of the community of practice on biodiversity.

Partnering with suppliers for a net zero strategy

Emissions across the supply chain are on average eleven times higher than a company’s direct emissions. In other words, Scope 3 plays a pivotal role in every decarbonisation journey. During this session of the Journey to Net Zero learning network, participants exchange strategies to engage suppliers and reduce emissions at scale.

What to expect?

Most of a company’s climate impact lies beyond its own operations, with suppliers and partners. Reaching net zero therefore means engaging the entire value chain. This session explores how companies are tackling that challenge in practice, including the hurdles, successes and lessons learned along the way.

Participants in this session

    delve into ways to collect reliable data on scope 3 emissions,

    discover how other companies are engaging their suppliers step by step in their climate ambitions,

    learn from international experts about effective collaboration and realistic goals,

    exchange experiences with peers about how you, as an organization, make an impact in your value chain.
